Tools that we find helpful:
- Test Director (Mercury Interactive):
For defect control, documentation control, automation and general test planning.
- LoadRunner (Mercury Interactive): Load
testing.
- WinRunner (Mercury Interactive): Testing
automation.
- AstaSite Manager (Mercury Interactive):
Site Maintenance
- SilkPerformer (Segue): Load testing.
- SilkTest (Segue): Testing automation.
- LinkBot Pro and LinkBot Enterprise are
now part of WatchFire
products and used for checking your website for linking errors, accessibility,
site management, etc.
- Defect Tracking System: There are many
systems available, just make sure that they are easily maintainable, flexible
reporting and can post to the web. Bugzilla is FREEat http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/.

- Configuration Management: Get a system
that can be easily implemented and used across the company. The products
we are most familiar with are ClearCase, PVCS and CVS.
- SofTest or now CaliberRBT (Starbase):
Automatically generates test cases and uses logic for creating them.

Reports : Statistical Reporting
