WRITING YOUR RESUME

If you have a resume and it is six months or older, rewrite it and give it a fresh look and feel. There are some inexpensive resume writing software out there and it is not bad, especially if you need help. Also, as an added bonus some of them have an interview demo, to help you prepare for your next interview. When you have completed writing the resume, have a friend look at it and give you constructive feedback.

When you do submit a resume, include a cover letter specific to the job. Do not writie a general cover letter and keep blasting it out to everyone. It will look impersonal and will show a lack of motivation for getting the job.

If you have to hand write an application, fill it out completely and neatly. Do not say or write on the application see resume. Again, this shows lack of initiative, regardless of how stupid it may seem to write the information again. Show that you want the job and it will happen.

If you want help with your resume, email it (Word format) to us at admin@sqageeks.com and for $10 we will review it, make improvements and send it back to you. We will bill you for the service later. Include your name, address with zip code and phone number in your email to us.
